WHAT IS AN IPL PHOTOFACIAL?
If you are bothered by how your facial skin appears because of dark spots or sun damage, Dr. Lyna C. Ellis and her team can perform a skin examination at our Lakeland, FL office to see if you could benefit from IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy. An IPL photofacial is a skin rejuvenation treatment for men and women with hyperpigmentation problems on their neck and face. IPL may not be an invasive process; however, it can be highly effective and produce great outcomes. BestSELF Wellness Clinic uses Harmony® XL PRO’s Dye-VL PRO handpiece to perform IPL treatments. To find out more about this nonsurgical treatment option, we invite you to schedule a visit with us today.

HOW DOES IPL WORK?
A photofacial is done at our Lakeland, FL office in about 20 – 30 minutes in one of our minor procedure rooms if performed alone. To prepare for the IPL facial, Dr. Ellis or a member of her team will clean and dry the skin before protecting your eyes with special lenses. The photofacial is administered using the Dye-VL PRO handpiece, which delivers intense wavelengths of light that heat the skin just enough to set off the natural regeneration process and increase collagen production. As the added nutrients take effect, you should see a healthier layer with an improved tone and fewer spots of pigmentation.
